Endangered Species & Climate Change
"I believe man would do well to watch where he treads, as he is the only creature that leaves indelible footsteps that keep running uncontrollably without him." Eleanor Torrey West (1913-2021)
There is no difference between ignorance over our changing climate, the death of native species both animal and human, or the marginalization and fragmentation of societies through conflict and neglect. They are linked whether through truth or treachery— all orchestrated by human hands. Allen is a storyteller, interested in a sense of loss, a sense of injustice, or a glimpse of an outcome of what may come to pass, as we cannot live independently from our environment. However, in the end, the strength and beauty of the human spirit is that of a survivor and has its own beauty.
As the landscape is ravaged by tornadoes due to climate change, the diorama of the family BBQ denotes our indifference to what is happening around us.
